We are so thankful for the many blessings that the Lord has
brought into our lives, and one of those things that we are
very grateful for is… YOU!

We are so thankful for our church family, and how God has
brought each of us together.

We pray that today would be a wonderful day of celebration for
you & your family, as you are filled with thanksgiving for all He
has done.

This beautiful hymn rings in our hearts today, and speaks of
how we feel on this wonderful morning…

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

And… don’t you just love how Lamentations 3:22-25 reminds
us that – His faithful love never ends, His mercies never cease,
great is His faithfulness, His mercies are new every morning,
the Lord is my inheritance & I will hope in Him!

God is so good to us!

May God continue to bless you richly,

Pastors Dan & Pearl Sanborn

ps. Hope to see you Sat. @9am to get the church dressed
for Christmas!

Here are some exciting updates for the next few weeks.

–> No Life Study or Life Campus service tomorrow
Because Gen-Con is starting on Thursday (Wed. in Albany for the worship team), we will not be having our midweek services.

We are very excited about setting aside a few days to immerse ourselves in God’s presence together! Pastor & Sister Nickles & their church will also be coming to the event.

We ask that you keep this week covered in prayer.

We are asking God for:
- Safe travels
- Salvation
- Changed lives

Our worship team has also been asked to lead worship for 3 different services during the event. Please pray that we can be used to help usher in the presence of God.

Everyone staying at the hotel will be meeting there at 5:30pm on Thur.

Pick up is at the church between 10pm & 11pm on Sat. evening. We will have people call their parents before we leave Utica.

** There are 4 tickets available if you would like to go. They are $48 each, and are available for the first 4 people who can purchase them. (however, there is no more room available in our pre-ordered room block at the hotel)

–> Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Thur Nov. 18th – Arrival time 5:30pm
Take a few minutes to think about what you can bring, and how you can help serve!

With everyone bringing something to the table, everyone is sure to be blessed with a wonderful meal! Larger main dishes & desserts are both needed. There is a sign up sheet on the back table in the lobby.

* Don’t forget to invite your friends & family to this special time of fellowship!

Brittany Westcott

We have just learned that Brittany will be coming home today! Not only that, but the doctors feel like she will be able to go back to school within a few weeks, instead of the 6-8 weeks that they initially thought!

We saw her last night, and she is doing well. She is very excited to go home, and she is looking forward to getting back to the things she loves.

We are very thankful for God’s hand upon her!

Celebrating Sister Debbie’s Birthday!
Tomorrow night @ Life Campus 7pm, we will also be celebrating Sister Debbie’s birthday with pizza & cake. We would love for everyone to be there who can, to help us celebrate!

Built to Last – Marriage Enhancement Series
Thurs 7pm

Ladies Breakfast This Saturday March 27th!
9am @ the Vienna Hotel
Come out & enjoy the food and fellowship!

Outdoor Cleanup This Saturday 8am
Lets take a few hours & get the outside ready for our Special Services, our Special Easter Service, and the new season! We want God’s house to look great, and this is a way that everyone can help! We appreciate you for helping!

April 1st & 2nd – Special Services!!!
We are having a special Thur evening & Fri morning service, with refreshments following. Other churches are coming to join us for these special services … including Pastors Jonnie & Barbara Nickles, and many people from their church!

We are very excited about this event & ask that you mark your calendars and plan to come if at all possible! We are looking forward to a great time in the Lord!

If you would like to partner with us in this event, we would be more than happy to have you! Food, set up, clean up, and serving will all be areas of need. Please see Sister Debbie if you would like for us to add your name to the partner list.

Service times will be:
Thursday 7pm
Friday 10am

We’re in a New Season!
We are getting ready to start the updates to our building! We want to begin right after Easter, so we can keep everything presentable for both the special services, as well as, our special Easter service.

We have been in much prayer about which “step” to take next, and due to the prayers of the body, and the timing of the Lord… we feel that we have the next step in plain view!

For this time, we want to better utilize the space that we currently have. Then, when this space becomes to small…and we know it will… then… God will give us the next step to take.

It is a very exciting time! We are seeing God add to our church body, many lives are being changed, and hearts are being mended!

Our hearts are encouraged by the goodness of the Lord, and our eyes are looking forward!

We will be sharing the details of the new updates this Sunday… when we will be sharing about VISION!

Check out the website…just a few more little tweaks and we’re all done! A big thank you to Cameron for helping us with the graphics!http://www.LifeChurchNY.com

There is excitement in the air… can you feel it!

Life Campus Tonight @7pm
Come out & enjoy an “unplugged” evening of worship, and a message titled “Saved Sex”

Built To Last Thur @7pm
Marriage Enhancement Series

Building Updates
As we announced Sunday, we are ready to begin the new updates to the front part of the building. We have received the insurance adjustment that will cover the damages done to the bathroom & surrounding area, and we are continuing to believe God for provision for other necessary updates. Please pray with us, as we are excited to get these new things underway.

Men’s Breakfast March 20th (not this week – next)
Vienna Hotel @9am
Start the day off with fellowship & a hearty breakfast while celebrating the 1st day of Spring!

Ladies Breakfast March 27th
Vienna Hotel @9am

Special Service Thursday April 1st @7pm
Pastors Jonnie & Barbara Nickles & a group from their church will be joining us for this special service… along with other churches in the area! Mark the date, because you won’t want to miss this!

Prayer Request
Please join us in keeping Pastor Brent Landers, Pastor Richard Hilton, and Pastor Robbie Hilton in your prayers. Yesterday they landed in Haiti at the mission that we helped support during this horrific crisis. They have landed safely, but they are each overwhelmed with the devastation that they see all around them. Pastor Brent, and the people of Haiti are very grateful for all you have done to help them during this trying time.

Over the past few weeks, Isaiah chapter 58 has been in the forefront of our prayers & our thoughts. It came up again in prayer on Monday morning. Listen to how it reads in the Message Bible:

Is 58:2-3
“They’re busy, busy, busy at worship, and love studying all about me. To all appearances they’re a nation of right-living people– law-abiding, God-honoring. They ask me, ‘What’s the right thing to do?’ and love having me on their side. But they also complain, ‘Why do we fast and you don’t look our way? Why do we humble ourselves and you don’t even notice?’ “Well, here’s why…”

(Read verse 4 to find out why!)

Look what verse 7 says:

“What I’m interested in seeing you do is…”

(Find out what GOD is interested in seeing you do)

Then the promises come – look at verse 8:

…”Do this and the lights will turn on, and your lives will turn around at once.”

(Do what?)

And wow… look at verses 11 & 12

“I will always show you where to go. I’ll give you a full life in the emptiest of places– firm muscles, strong bones. You’ll be like a well-watered garden, a gurgling spring that never runs dry. You’ll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew, rebuild the foundations from out of your past. You’ll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again.”

Sounds like “Culture Changers” to us!

Good Morning Everyone!

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day!

Here are the new updates:

–> Life Campus – Our Midweek Service Tonight @ 7pm in Rome
People of every age have really been enjoying the mid-week service, as well as the small group sessions (for all ages) that we have afterwards!

–> Outreach Offering to Haiti
We want to thank you all for your generous offering this past week, to reach out to the suffering people of Haiti.

We spoke to Pastor Brent (our Pastor friend from TN – who already has a church/school there in Haiti), and he gave us this report:

- All of their people have survived!
- All of their buildings are still in tact – one wall has structural damage
- They have organized themselves to be a “help center”
- They have over 400 people sleeping outside of their buildings
- A few days ago, they had already fed over 4,000 hungry people
- A few days ago, over 700 people had already given their lives to Christ!

We are so thankful to hear the eternal good that is coming, even in the midst of disaster!

100% of your offering will go directly to helping the people there, and we know that God will bless you richly for your generosity!

If you were unable to give on Sunday, or would like to make an additional donation, you can feel free to give it this week.

We will follow up with another report as soon as we receive one from Pastor Brent.

–> Special Birthday Lunch for Pastor Dan – This Sunday!
This Sunday we will be celebrating Pastor’s birthday with a special lunch directly after the service.

We have so many great cooks, and we are looking forward to sampling your favorite dish!

–> Marriage Enhancement Series – “Built to Last”
Our new marriage enhancement series will begin soon. We are giving couples a chance to sign up, so that we have an idea of how many couples we will have, and so that we can better plan for the couple’s get away that will follow the series. If you have not signed up yet, please send us a quick email, or sign up on the sign up sheet this week. We are REALLY looking forward to spending this time with the couples in our church, and know that God is going to do some amazing things during this time that we spend together!

This will be a 6 week course, and sessions will be on Thursday evenings @7pm – beginning on Feb the 4th.

–> February Convention in MD
February 16th, 17th, 18th (Tues-Thur)
Special Speakers – Tomas & Deborah Gibson
Pastor & Sister Nickles were thinking of possibly changing the format of their annual convention, however, they have decided to go ahead with the same open format this year. The services will
be Tues, Wed, & Thur evening @7pm – and Wed & Thur morning @ 10am. this year there will be no Friday morning breakfast.

As in every year, there will be rooms available at the church free of charge, however, they are on a first come first served basis. If you would like to stay at the church, please let us know as soon as
possible.

Some meals will also be provided free of charge. There is also a convenience store directly across the street, which carries several different options of fast food. There are also many different restaurants in town.

This will be the first year that they have had the Gibsons as special speakers. They have a multiethnic church & are very missions minded. Their slogan is… “We are not just a church, but a family of nations”! We look forward to hearing what God will share with us through them.

–> Praise Reports!!!
We are all continuing to praise God for the testimonies that we heard on Sunday! God is so wonderful to us!

Don’t forget Pastor Dan’s encouragement to keep a record of the good things that God has done! And… when you hear a testimony of God’s goodness, by all means, don’t keep it to yourself! Go share the good news with others! We are amazed at the stories that are already coming in, of how people shared a testimony with someone, and how it opened a door for them to minister to that person!

Also – remember to keep praying! Pray for health, pray for salvation, and pray for open doors to minister to others! Just a few of the “big needs” to remember in your prayers:
Sister Jaime’s father
Brother Mark’s father
Sister Judy’s brother

–> The Building
We have finally gotten the report from the insurance adjuster, about the damage to the back of the building, due to the water break several weeks ago. As you know, we have been praying for wisdom, about what steps to take to make the current building more usable for us. We will be sharing more of the details of what needs to be done, and the renovations will begin soon.

We would love to have any able bodied people, who are willing to put their hands into this task, to help us pull this project off!

Many have said… we are with you, just tell us what to do, we want to help, etc. This is a way that everyone can pull together and do something to help get things completed!

We are trusting God both for the resources that we need, and the help to get the job done. This is an exciting time!

We look forward to being with you, in God’s presence,

Pastors Dan & Pearl Sanborn

Good Afternoon Everyone!

God has blessed us with another gorgeous day!

Here are the exciting updates for this week & the coming season!

–> Thanksgiving Dinner – This Wednesday Nov 18th @ 5:45 We will be having our Special LifeChurch Thanksgiving dinner celebration!

We are already starting to hear the buzz about the different guests that have said they were coming! Some have even asked people from church… “are you having that great dinner again this year, because I want to come!”

This is what we are asking each person to do:

1. Think of 3-5 people that you can invite to the dinner

2. Call them up to give them a personal invitation

3. Offer to meet so they can ride with you – or follow you there
(people hate to walk into a place where they don’t know anyone)

4. Call those that agreed to come the night before to confirm

5. When you bring them in, introduce them to your LifeChurch family, to help set them at ease for the evening.

* Bonus #6 – We know that you will be bringing your favorite special recipe, so be sure to make enough extra to help feed the extra guests as well!

This is our full blown traditional Thanksgiving dinner, so items that would be good to bring would be:

- Stuffing
- Mashed Potatoes
- Turkey Gravy
- Vegetables
- Casseroles
- Dinner rolls
- Desserts such as pumpkin & apple pie, brownies, cookies, etc.

The church will provide:
- punch
- cranberry sauce
- butter
- turkeys & turkey bags for people to cook

Be thinking about what you would like to bring. We know whatever it is… it’s going to be wonderful!

–> Mark The Date – Nov. 28th
Right after Thanksgiving comes the Christmas Season, and we would like to jump right in with our decorations, so that we can enjoy them for the whole season!

This year, we will be decorating on Nov 28th the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We will meet at 9am & finish by 11am. It will only take a few hours, and we would love for you to come out & share in this time of fellowship with us!

–> Reaching Out
This year, we want to serve Christ, by touching the lives of others during this holiday season. We know that many of you have ideas about how you can do that within your own families, and we are
excited to hear the different testimonies that will come out of that.

For the church as a whole, we have a few ways that we would like to serve this year. We know that this is the timing of the Lord, because so many are feeling God place His finger on their hearts in the area of service to Him.

Thanksgiving:

As Pastor said a few weeks ago, we have learned that Rome currently has more homeless people than the city of Utica! In speaking with Shirley Caldwell over at the Rome Rescue Mission, she shared with us some of the biggest needs that they currently have.

- Because they are feeding & caring for more and more people, their pantry is quite low. They could use non-perishables to help fill the shelves & provide food baskets for those in need.

- Being currently “filled to capacity” (double bunking & even putting some in between beds right now), they are in “dire” need of things such as; toilet paper, napkins, dish soap, laundry soap.

- Winter is coming & they have many homeless men who don’t even have a coat. They come in to try to get out of the cold, but are going to be facing the snow pretty soon. She is requesting winter coats – especially in sizes 2X & 3X.

Christmas:

We have 2 families in the church with relatives that have been deployed overseas, and we would like to send them a special Christmas care package from LifeChurch. We would like to bless them in such a way, that there is way more than they need for themselves, so they can share with the others serving with them!

In order for the packages to arrive on time, we need to send them out by December 1st.

1. Loraine Tebo’s granddaughter
Mercedes Armstrong – Marines
She is serving on a ship out to sea, and although she has the ability to buy items, they are VERY expensive! Ideas – socks, slippers, pjs (M) would be nice… and she loves purple make up

2. Dave & Judy Bergstrom’s son-in-law
MSgt Donald Huston – Air Force
He will be responsible for preparing his own food, and could use staples such as; nuts, crackers, slim jims, etc. He will be serving in Korea, where the winters are VERY cold! You might think of gifts like sweetshirt (XL), or comfy bottoms (L). He is also a golf lover – and a Steelers fan

During his 12 month tour of duty in Korea, he will also be living near an orphanage, in which some of the men volunteer. Don is really looking forward to serving these children while he is there on duty. As soon as we have the details of the children living there, we can come up with some ideas to help them as well!

Here are the types of things that will be very useful to them both. Just think “everyday items”:

* We would like smaller sizes for ease of shipping, and so they can share them with the others serving with them.

tooth paste, tooth brushes, dental floss
powder
deodorant
shaving cream
lotion
chap stick
shampoo & conditioner
soap
individually wrapped candy
laundry soap
etc.

Sister Debbie will have a poster in the lobby, and a box to start collecting items to be packaged up & sent out. You can also see her for more ideas.

Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child

We have had some requests to participate in the Operation Christmas Child shoe box giveaway. After doing some research, and learning all of the details about the program, we are very excited to participate! We also think that this is a wonderful way to reach out to orphans & needy children around
the world with the gospel message of Jesus Christ!

I love what one man said… “giving a child a gift is a way to open up the heart of a child, because it’s the practical application of the “gift of Jesus.”

What is Operation Christmas Child?

You simply fill a shoe box with small gifts for a boy or a girl, wrap the lid & box seperately, wrap a rubber band around both ends, then we take them to the drop off location. After being sent to the headquarters, they are filled with a book about the gift of Jesus, then they are sent out around the world.

The deadline to receive boxes is Sunday November 22nd.

Because we are just learning about this outreach & didn’t realize how early the deadline is, we only have a week & a half to gather boxes… but we still want to do what we can this year! Next year we will know more & be able to start way earlier.

Here is the link to the how-to instructions & the label that you can print off to tape to the top of your box:

http://www.samaritanspurse.org/pdf/PackABoxwithLabels.pdf

–> Many have made comments about how they like the changes going on in the loby. This is just the beginning! We want to showcase different talents of those in the church, and look forward to enjoying them each week!

The loby carpet will be cleaned this week… which we are VERY excited about

* Apostle Nickles was in prayer for us recently, and God gave him this scripture for us & LifeChurch. We wanted to share it with you, as it is VERY encouraging! God is so good!

Isa 43:19
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. NLT

Can you feel it!!!

Pastors Dan & Pearl

Good Afternoon ~

A what a beautiful day we have been blessed with!

Camden Campus – Wed 7pm
Special Guests are coming to visit, fellowship, and see what God is doing with our Camden Campus! They are some of our new pastor friends – who are also bringing some of their youth with them. Please plan to come out & enjoy the presence of God in our midweek service!
Coming Up – Generation Conference Nov 5, 6, 7th
We are dividing the conference dues into 2 parts to try to help make things as easy as possible financially.

1. The entrance fee itself – $48 due by Sunday Aug 30th
2. The $55 hotel fee for those who will be staying at the hotel will be due in mid Oct.

Everyone who goes to the conference will need to pay the $48 entrance fee, because unlike past years, there will be no “open seating” – due to space limitations.
Special Guest Speaker Sunday Sept 6th (first Sunday)
We are looking forward to having Pastor Robbie Hilton as our guest speaker! Mark your calendars!

Happy Anniversary!

** Today a BIG Happy Anniversary goes out to Pastor Jonnie & Sister Debbie! **

Ed & Sombot (Brother Ed from the Worship Team) – Aug 21st
Sheri & Wayne Schwartz – Aug 31st
Happy Birthday!

Deanne Suits - Aug 14th
Christian Schwartz – Aug 18th
Brittany Westcott – Aug 22nd
Casey Sanborn – Aug 23rd
Donna Zacek – Aug 31st
Current Series: “Journey Towards Surrender”

Highlights

Main Passage - Acts Chapter 9

Mat 11:28-30
”Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
He doesn’t promise an end to all of our labor – but surrendering to God’s yoke will change the meaningless, wearisome toil into spiritual productivity and purpose.

BECAUSE – when we surrender (or turn in) our old yoke & take on the yoke of Christ, we are actually partnering with Christ in life! It’s now a shared yoke – resting on someone’s shoulders that are bigger than ours! Someone with more pulling power!

We look forward to worshiping with you tomorrow night!
